Spectra-class panels have a small set of colors, not a continuous RGB gamut. Naive dithering crushes shadows and flattens skin. Refresh time and image quality also trade off against each other.

Color ePaper is hard to ship
for two reasons
Color is hard. Software stacks are not interchangeable. Pipelines and backends that work on LCD usually fail on color ePaper. We turned both problems into products you can buy as devices or software.
Challenge 01
Color is hard
Color ePaper is not a backlit LCD. The palette is limited, refresh is slow, and shadows, skin, and fine tone are easy to lose in dithering. Pipelines built for LCD or print often come out too dark, too flat, or muddy.
What we do
ISFR is not a filter. It reads the image first, then handles enhancement, color, and dithering as one workflow. It ran on real content and real users inside InkJoy devices before we licensed it out.
How you buy it
InkJoy and Signage devices already include it. If you want image quality only and keep your own stack, license ISFR as a Platform module.
Challenge 02
Software is not interchangeable
CMS platforms, players, and asset pipelines written for LCD digital signage assume instant refresh, video, and always-on screens. Those assumptions fail on ePaper. Panel SDKs are often closed, so hotel PMS, chain backends, and your own apps cannot talk to the display.
Why it is hard
ePaper needs its own image pipeline, low-power connectivity, device status, and content delivery. An LCD backend cannot drive it as-is. Vendor SDKs are rarely interchangeable.
What we do
Need a ready system: Signage provides App, CMS Basic, and CMS Pro. Already have a PMS or your own backend: use Platform cloud, device runtime, and Merchant API without replacing your business software.
